It was around 4.30 am three days before Eid. Ajmal Hossain, a service holder, came back to Dhaka from Netrokona by bus. He arrived at Mohakhali bus stand and then hired a CNG to go to his mess at Mirpur 1. It was a lonely and dark night. When he reached Mirpur Kajipara, the CNG driver suddenly turned onto a tiny and dark road. Before he could figure out what was happening, Ajmal found five men surrounding the CNG. One of them pointed a gun at him and said “Keep your mouth shut and give up everything you have. Otherwise you will be a dead man.”

Ajmal was too scared and gave up his mobile phone, a bag filled with clothes and some cash amounting to Tk 2500. Ajmal was then beaten and the muggers left him on that road…..
